The results of this study also showed that NMN significantly increased the RNA levels of β-catenin compared with DHT-induced HDPC. The β-catenin signaling pathway plays a crucial role in the development and regeneration of hair follicles, which suggests that NMN may lead to increased β-catenin expression and thereby promote hair growth in mice.
